The bike arrived as promised. It was surprisingly easy to I used my own tools, but a tool kit was included with the bike, a nice touch. I was impressed with the build of the bike especially factory installed equipment. The Shimano eight-speed mechanical shifting was a particularly pleasant surprise. My first ride was a 7-mile round trip to my gym. The ride is mostly flat, except big hills at each end. My home is near the top a half-mile long hill, and the gym is located on top of a significant hill as well. I used the pedal assist feature the entire way on both legs of the trip, but the bike does have a throttle in case you get tired and don’t feel like pedaling. I purchased a folding lock from OKAI that can be mounted on the bike itself. This was a win for me. It was super easy to use and folds nice and compact when riding. I have used the bike a few dozen times now and it is still as impressive as it was brand new. I have ridden over 40 miles on a single charge and still had about 25% battery life left. The hydraulic disc brakes stop consistently well, even when descending steep hills. If I HAD to something to complain about, I would say I wish it was the price was a little lower, but don’t we all wish lots of things were less expensive. I have recommended this bike to several others in my neighborhood.
